I feel like there was a missed opportunity here to make Metal Sonic feel more like a threat than getting his ass kicked by Knuckles again like in Mania Adventures.

At least it doesn't COMPLETELY copy Sonic Mania Adventures. This fight in my opinion was better than the actual thing.
