This is a good demonstration and coincidentally a ramp I have taken many times. People don't always "let you in, " you have to sometimes force yourself into the lane, safely of course.

I am a new driver. Do people on the lane that you are merging into normally make space for you to merge in? I dont really know how to merge if its crowded and if the cars are all going like 60mph.

How do you merge when you can't judge distance and speed, and have panic attacks when ypu get people crowding you in ? (Practice isn't a good answer, since practice involves actually doing the very thing that may kill you. )
This is not like a fear of spiders or fear of heights that can be taken in stages. If I have a panic atrack, someone could die.
I really wish there was a driving sim that had resl world situations, such as heavy traffic with a sudden lane closure ahead, and road raging drivers that don't let you in and ride your bumper honking.
Does anyone know of something like this ?
