This video is the most helpful for my learning style that I've found so far. I'm studying and finding it overwhelming to read these long chapters in the textbook on top of quizzes and videos. So I will definitely try this approach!

It is true it can be intimidating, especially like some like myself who is starting at zero knowledge with IT, but it's so fascinating, and I want to get to artificial intelligence lol

You are so right. If you plan on taking the test within a year you will take it within a year... I literally bought my voucher last August and guess what month is coming up 😭 so I will be using these methods to pass in 30 days starting tomorrow. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Nicole,

I’ve worked in health and social care for most of my life and two weeks ago I decided I want to follow my dream and get myself a career in IT.

Been following messers free ComptiaA+ core 1 course, really enjoying it but have been finding some topics intimidating, but I will carry on and will never give up!

I learn best from relying on one information source at a time, more of a visual learner as well may get the book if I need to cross reference information

Many thanks

Wow - that was jammed-packed with nothing but really great, specific recommendations. No fluff or pitches, just the info I needed. I just started looking into getting my CompTIA and I'm really glad I watched this video! Nicely done.

This field is intense at first but like anything else the more your delve in the more you will understand and be able to interpret. Your doing a great job explaining these techniques and concepts. As a 37 year transitioning back into school after so many years it is good to see this video. The A+ is on my list and I have started studying it about a week ago. For those who are intimidated, keep yourself in the information pertaining to and related to..I cannot tell you enough that old ha it’s Will keep you from becoming what you seek to do. I was playing music like I was at my jobs during any type of studying, and I for a week I have played music only when I work out during the days or exercise, and during the majority of the days it is IT related podcasts, and cyber! What this has done for me is taken out music that doesn’t provide me with much but some feelings, to being further inundated with the information of where I want to be in a years time or less. So my thoughts are of this field and my brain has begun much more primed for learning and thinking of these subjects more and more. What I am saying is get obsessed with this and you’ll see yourself amassing fairly quickly!

I’m glad I found this. I tried to study for the A+ like 10 years ago by just reading the book. I motivated at first but I forgot what I was learning because I was just reading from start to finish. I found it boring and technical and ended up getting distracted with other things and never finished. This time I’ll apply those methods and hopefully have better luck. Thanks

You genuinely want to help others. Most youtubers that are recommended, it is obvious they are making the content for the sake of an easy video. Your work ethic is shining, even in a youtube video!

I am watching this 2 years later and I love the way you explained the thing where you can write down questions and then come back for them. Wish I knew that earlier ❤

I personally think you’ve done a great job in executing your point without liking the sound of your own voice. I guess when it comes to learning it’s great to get different inputs as our knowledge expands which helps us to grow to better ourselves. I also think what works for others didn’t work for all, as we all retrain information differently. Your explanation is spot on. Thank you is kindly for your time and effort in making this video.

I like your videos so far. I'm currently working on studying for A+. I've been watching Professor Messer's videos on here. I bought the A+ Cram Exam book and yes, it's very thick. I'm 44 and trying to transition into Cyber Security from a decade of work in Private Security. I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice that I'm not using and although I'm glad I have it at this point its just a very expensive piece of paper. I hadn't really set a deadline for myself to pass the A+ exam except maybe by mid-January 2022 when the current version will retire. I have some concentration and mental processing issues lately so I'm trying to work on those as well. Your videos have been entertaining and instructive so far. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the video I got the CompTIA A+ book when it first hit the shelf in 2019 and I've been putting it off all this time. I'm finally cracking down maybe I was overthinking things 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don't try to take the A+ in 30 days unless you've been in IT for awhile, or you have 8 hours a day all 30 days to study. Even then, doing that for the 1001 and 1002 probably wouldn't be enough time. Maybe doing the 1001 in 30 days and then the 1002 in another 30 days. I just feel like trying to cram that amount of information all within 30 days is to much to be able to remember long term, especially if your new like me with no experience. It took me about 6 weeks for each part to pass, but I was working and only had about 20 hours a week to study. So again, if you have all day everyday to study I'm sure it's possible to do it in 30-45 days, but your going to be cramming pretty hard and the memorization more than likely won't be the same had you taken more time to prepare. Other than that this is a good video, and the study tips can probably help a lot of people. Check out Professor Messer, Jason Dion, and Mike Myers as well. They are all a major help if your going for the A+, Network+, or Security+.

This was great... I am on my second run for studying Mike Myers course on UDEMY! I must say the way he explains it is amazing. I agree with not writing notes on the first run through ( I did that too lol) it can be effective with vocabulary I believe but not with understanding the concepts. Thank you for this video I would like to take my test by July 2021!

This is awesome! I have been reading the massive CompTIA A+ book and just started Jason Dion's Udemy course. You have great suggestions and I really love all the links you have provided. Those flashcards will come in handy. Especially for remembering all the Ports, corresponding Protocols and what they do. Cheers
