Great! This is so incredibly cool to see our legal history getting set CORRECT, even though it wasn´t always right. Right? Thanks to Amanda Tyler for presenting this ´tuff to obtain´ historical info. I want to read her book, and just only now knew of it.

Five thousand views only and just eight comments, sad.
Information we should all know, and anyone can write their writ or a friend, without cost to them.

Thank you for your remarking at @19:16 that Jefferson was willing to compromise his principals in re: the " suspension clause" in order to win his personal battle with Aaron Burr . Lets just drink another case of fine French wine at a Monticello dinner party and consider ourself an exception to our own rules.

Does anyone know if the English Habeas Corpus Act of 1679 still active in the United States today?

We have stood up for very less decade after decade. As my old aunt used to say "Use it lose it." How are you to do that if you have never learned what "it"is?

I would love to hear her critique of Thuraissigiam immigration case as it applies to the suspension clause. While listening to this, I began to think about the US treatment of the Native Americans and how, if at all, did US violate habeas when it involved itself in the removal of the Native populations and in general the Indian Resettlement Act. If anyone has any thoughts on either I invite you to comment.

Thanks for not really getting to the issue....habeas corpus is about one of the most ancient of ancients of natural law which is...the accused has the right to face the accusser in an open forum....things cannot just be here say and gossip and complaints. Produce the body.
