News 5 Anchor Mike Brookbank is outside the Stellantis Jeep plant in Toledo Friday morning.

About 13,000 auto workers across the country stopped making vehicles and went on strike after their leaders couldn’t bridge a giant gap between union demands in contract talks with automakers.

Since they aren't putting new vehicles together, can we take the parts and push them into the supply chain for service and repair? At least one problem could be fixed.

What good does striking do not a damn thing if they aren’t selling vehicles, they can’t afford to just give money away. It’s called business.

The reason they make more money than most of the rest of the workforce is because they’re willing to stand up to benefit from the fruits of their labor not just give it all to some rich asshole. Most of the workforce is not because they would be fired immediately without unity. Mrs., most of us are too distracted by culture wars to fight for anything that really matters in our paychecks. The oligarchs who run this country havetoo busy looking sideways so we can’t look up. Instead of getting mad at the UAW, you need to join them and fight against this new Gilded Age. We’re only the super rich can enjoy the fruits of productivity, which is never been higher in this country.

The power of the union lies in unity that’s why it is part of the name.

The union has also fought for the eight hour work day which most of us enjoy. It was not a gift from rich people. They also thought against company towns and forcing children to do dangerous work in it because they’re small enough to fit in two machines where they got killed or maimed. Please thank for unions for what other ever decent working conditions you enjoy.

Also, the unions forced Franklin Delano Roosevelt to pass a new deal (which which the Reagan revolution has been trying to the dismantle for years, ) which included Social Security.
Shawn for president. We need someone to look out for the people who voted them in not just a corporations who pay them.

They need to close that plant. Those cars are ill-equipped for today's modern society. Very poor quality first and foremost poor engineering
