So, I am trying to figure this all out. Based upon most of the posts I have read the majority of you seem to:

1. Despise capitalism, much like Bernie Sanders and AOC, but, on the other hand, your income depends on companies that exist because of capitalism and pay you $ that is derived directly from the capitalism system.
2. And, because of capitalism, not socialism or communism, you expect your employers to pay you 36% more money today, but you want to work for 1 less day a week.
3. You want no wage tiers between new and long standing employees regardless of experience and evidence whatsoever of hard work to merit it.
4. You have no “profit sharing” agreement in place today with the Big 3 but you think that you are entitled to more money because of the profits the Big 3 have made in the past which you never successfully negotiated to share in.
5. And, despite how much you hate the Big 3, you don’t want to work any place else which you are free to do at any time like the rest of us.

6. You embrace people like Sanders, whose policies are actively destroying hundreds of thousands of American jobs in the petroleum business, causing the highest inflation in our lifetimes, and whose policies are costing your employers billions of dollars converting production lines to electronic vehicle making at least 10-15 years before adequate infrustructure is even fully planned or even funded.
7. Your cool with the Big 3 losing out to foreign car manufacturers, which may cost you your jobs and/or your employer's ability to pay you what you want today.
8. Now you are “strategically” shutting down parts production plants for the big 3 putting ALL American families at uncessary risk both physically and financially because emergency vehicles need parts to keep running, and the rest of us need cars that work.

Waiting until the last minute is a tactic used by all corporations, government and private, to put pressure on members. My union deals with it EVERY 2 years 🤦🏻‍♂️ keep fighting the good fight! Support from the west coast!!

Can't say I trust GM's figures, it wasn't that long ago that they said that 20% increase for temps would bring them to $20 an hour meaning they currently make $16.67/hr and that isn't reflected at all in their figures shown here - they make it seem as if the lowest paid worker currently makes $18.04/hr. Did the temps get a $1.37/hr raise within the last week? I don't know.

Shouldn’t be blocking people from going to work. A union isn’t a cult, not everyone agrees with a 32 hour work week lmao
