The last woman should sue. That's an unacceptable response from the salon.

"My doctors words against them"
Sooo who went to medical school? That poor girl is STILL seeking treatment, she should sue them. That's crazy!

I am almost certain that the reason the last girl had 3rd degree burns and only on two places is because the stylist somehow left bleach on her scalp and didnt rinse it all out

Idk why people keep trashing on the first girl's current hair, I actually think it looks super cool and vintage with a twist. I love it!

My hair horror story:
When I was 15 I got a weave that was super tight and I had a dull radiating pain in the middle of my head. I asked my mom if could take it out and she said no because she paid money for it. The pain persisted, and then maybe a week in it started to get really itchy and whenever I would scratch the area red flakes would come out. Three weeks later my Mom finally let me take out the weave, and as she was taking it down she screamed. In the middle of my head the weave actually split open my scalp and I had a wound there. I went to a salon the next day and they refused to treat me because of the open wound. To this day, almost 10 years later, that area is still extremely sensitive and the hair there grows in a different texture from the rest of my head.

Maybe a year or two after that incident I attempted to get another weave, and I actually had a panic attack at the salon and had my mom take it down the next morning. The next school day was the first time I ever wore my natural hair to school though and I got a lot of compliments 👍. I have never gotten a weave after that and never will.

even if it was an allergic reaction, the salon should still be liable because they didn't perform a patch test.

I need to know what the first woman’s friend said the next day or the day after she got her hair chopped up. 😂

for around 6 years i used to get a "straight" hair perm, always at the same salon. the day that i moved to another country and got my hair permed by someone else aaaallll of my hair fell of and turned green. I have to chop it all basically to a very short pixie. I never cried to my hair like i did at this time.

As a licensed cosmetologist, I would be willing to bet it was the combination of lifting her natural remaining pigment and then using a permanent color to tone that gave her a chemical burn. Given that she has a natural level of two or three, they probably used either 30 or 20 volume developer. The amount of ammonia or peroxide in permanent color is much higher and her scalp having just been bleached was already in a delicate state. The first thing they should’ve recommended was that she seek medical attention when she expressed she had subjective symptoms that were extreme. I understand why they weren’t concerned because typically permanent color doesn’t irritate the scalp. However when someone tells you they are in pain, you need to act immediately and not try to minimize the situation. It’s too bad she’s afraid of coloring her hair now. She needs to find someone in a high end, luxury Salon who will give her a consultation, not on the same day of her color service, so she can discuss her hair history and her trepidation’s. That way they can develop a plan of action and application that would protect her delicate scalp. It’s doable, but do not go somewhere cheap and expect anything better. By cheap I mean with her dark hair at a high-end salon she should expect to pay around $200 or $300 for hair color, not $60 or $80. It’s an investment in her health, clearly.

Rebecca's story is so awful! How the stylist and the manager didn't take any accountability towards her burning scalp.

How awful!

I just got my hair "professionally" dyed for the first time a couple weeks ago. All I wanted was some natural Auburn highlight. I spent 7 hours in a salon chair because half way through doing my "highlights" she realized that she messed up and had to rinse my hair asap and start over again with wet hair. She had literally just dyed my whole head instead of giving me highlights and to make things worse when I got home I noticed she had left bleach in my hair from not rinsing it all out. So now I have a huge blonde patch in my hair.

I've dyed my own hair for years now and the only issue i ever had was the colour completely rinsing out once on the first wash.

So the First Lady who has the perm. When she showed the pictures of her hair cut after the perm you can see she has her hair coloured. Her roots growing through about an inch then brown and some bleach highlights in fringe in more noticeable. I would not recommend perming bleached or heavily lightened hair.

The only time I’ve had hair dye fails were when I’ve gotten it professionally done to get fun colors (teals, blues, reds, etc) So I just stick with doing it myself now.

I really hope the last girl sued that hair salon for causing 3rd degree scalp burn and all the costs and emotional turmoil that came along with it.

What’s up with the rude comments about the first person‘s hair? I don’t see anything wrong with it! Just because they probably couldn’t pull off a look like that doesn’t mean they should be a d!ck
