In the future, you don't cook food. You render it

It’s kind of cheat of having static scenes because majority of lighting effects can be baked and suddenly you add a moving object and it doesn’t look natural because ambient occlusion and other lighting effects are harder to do in real-time.

The graphics are astonishing, no doubt about it, but what about the physics? Imo the industry should focus on the physics of the games because it still looks very unreal! For example, in every game when playing multiplayer mode, the characters physics looks almost cartoonish.

idk why everyone says they're getting static, the reception is fine for me. try adjusting the bunny ears on your computer monitors.

Also, the FAQ would be "no real-time raytracing?" or "where's the RTX?"

Real-time Raytracing feature in UE4 is still an "insider test feature" and not yet available for public usage. Epic plans to release the feature on version 4.22, according to their blog post.

It's crazy how adding imperfections to things makes them seem more realistic. Like the wood floor.

YES we've finally reached the point of REALISTIC BREAD SIMULATION. Truly we are in the best timeline

You are using an unbelievably extreme engine, to render bread.

From 0:42, I've noticed the cup of coffee & the...muffin/bread looks almost real which its cool. ( too bad I can't eat & drink those things )

I find it funny that this is using the same engine as fortnite.

By the way guys, simulation theory is the right theory. Look it up and understand your obsession with graphics comes from your urge to create new worlds.

how many polygons in these 3d models? And how many fps will you have if you make full level on ue4 with more than 50 models with quality like this? I think it will be very small digits.

That house area does look pretty good, until you realise the inflatable ring isn't actually floating in the water, it's just sitting on top of it.

I won't deny these details looks great, UE4 is one of the top engines available now, but static models can look great in many other engines. For example models from modern games can be ported to Source engine and with pre-set lighting and good cubemaps Source engine can put out visuals in a static scene that are leagues ahead of what the engine looks in any game. Also I'm sure competing engines like CryEngine could render static furniture just as good if not better than this, this demo would be more impressive with some reference of movement, maybe a car driving or a character in some of these static scenes
