I love how you teach the students, I've said it before, students need to have teachers like you to really comprehend what is going on. I do have a slight bone to pick though as a math teacher. One of the habits I think math teachers need to break students of are symbols used for multiplication and division. Let me explain. When you get to Algebra, or anything higher, we now use variables, and the most common variable we use is X. I just watched you use the X for multiplication and for the variable. I actually had to look twice, because I thought you made a mistake on the double check until I could see that the X was a multiplication. Please have the students use the * (asterisk) for multiplication, just like we break them of the habit or that weird division sign and change them to the slash. To end on a positive note, your videos really are brilliant, I'm consistently watching them, and looking for ways that I wasn't taught.

Would the student get full marks if they expanded and then worked out each term and then had thier final answer in the expanded form?

The derivative of 3x^3+10x^2 is not 9x^2+100x it is 27 x^2+100x

Ok, so I don't know much about math.. but I'm always willing to learn, so sometimes I click on videos like this..
What strikes me is that it usually comes down to "Look at the trick that is hidden here". How is that relatable to math in real life I wonder then, where I imagine math is messy instead of a sprinkling of Easter egg tricks. So I fail to understand why people do this.
