The manual really hurts the Z06. I think with the A8 it would have been closer, so long as they didn’t just floor it in drive without putting it in competitive shift mode, first.

Nice runs. Can the C7Z remove the stupid Stage III aero? He's not running around a road course. That stage III lnlck 2mph off in the 1/4 alone. Kills above 100 acceleration. I know. I am on my 2nd C7Z.

What most forget here is that the GT500 dynos near 740 or so to the wheels and the crank hp claimed from the factory is 760. So with a 15% drivetrain loss that’s about 850 to the crank. 850 vs 650 for the C7Z 🤷🏻‍♂️. Edit* I meant 705rwhp, not 740. Which will still put it over 800 crank.

Everybody saying the A8 ZO6 would have the edge, but they are already at speed and the GT500 starts pulling well before the Vette would need to shift

Other than the gt500 taking off earlier than the vette it was some good racing. Gt500 should win hands down against older vette with manual in straight line. Would be sad if it didnt
