How To Restore A Mint Plant

In this video I show how easy it is to rejuvenate your tired old mint plant and encourage it to grow lots of fresh new leaves. This works best in midsummer, but can be done at most times of year except winter and late autumn.

3-4 weeks ago, I decided to try this with my very poor-looking, leggy mint. I cut it ALL down, all the way to the ground. As of today, I have 5 small, beautiful, lush mint plants bursting through the soil in all corners of the pot. THANK YOU for saving my plant!!

Thanks for the video and it is especially cool with the time lapsed part! I just got my first pot of peppermint and gardening is totally new to me. Your sharing just gave me complete confidence to “cut it all off and let it regrow”! Thank you!

I'm glad to have this video, I overhandled the mint I harvested so the bits I tried to transplant as insurance in case the parent dies from the frost... Well their leaves are all curling up and even the stem is weak and thing

Mind it also looks like the parent is so stubborn that it took the frost and grew a few inches within days despite that

Thank you because of this trick i was able to regrow again my mint that is almost dying, so i cut all the stem all the way to the ground and start feeding it as you shown in the video with the help of the good sunlight every morning and cow manure i got result good after 5 days a new sprout starting to pop out 😁👍
