You've forgotten the most important thing... Be honest with your opinion, because that's a thing where other people rely on

I think the best way to start your product review channel is to start reviewing products that you have already tested for a long time. You don't need to buy new products and gadgets to review, just use what ever you have and share your knowledge about them with the rest of the world.

Thanks Sean - I started my product review channel this year. I had my share of affiliate rejections trying to get approved before the channel was big enough. As far as tips that I have learned: 1.) Focus on solid content. Perhaps a different style of presenting the review, or performing some sort of measurement on the item you are reviewing that no one else took the time to perform. 2.) Create supporting content such as tutorials or updates.

I started my channel in January and am still just reviewing products that I already own. I've bought a couple of things but for the most part its stuff I've had for a while. Strangely enough, the first video I made turns out to be my highest viewed product review video as apparently the product is more popular than I'd anticipated. I am proud of my first video because i just STARTED. It is far from my best, but it got me started.

To also keep from not being consistent I do videos every 2 weeks, I have a 2 year old and a wife and family is important to me. Also, as I don't have a large budget I don't want to run out of items to review. Get started guys, don't over think it!

Totally cool seeing that old video. Amazing to see how far you've come. I've gone back and looked too. So different. Haha. Great advice.

My Tip: KEEP THE VIDEO AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE, BUT INCLUDE MOST IMPORTANT INFOS ABOUT THE PRODUCT. Awesome video, love your vlogging gear tips, but i also always considered creating a product review channel

When you realize that even his first video in 2010 is better than yours in 2019.

Best advice, START! Don't over think it! Believe me, my first review took months to "perfect it". Just keep it genuine and have fun with it!

One of my biggest tips is to review brand new products that have just been released.

I have been posting random videos for a while and then i stopped when i got a full time job. I really want to get back to it but i wasn’t sure what exactly my channel is about… but then it clicked- reviews. I wanna review food, hotels, travel things, all sorts of things. I feel like I’m not too picky but I’m definitely honest. 😂 I’m so happy i got the clarity i needed to restart 😊

Awesome video, I started a reviews channel and was contacted by a business that sent me a few products to review for free. This definitely works!

I love making reviews because not only can I discover new tech products but can help others find awesome tech!

One tip I would give is to email companies and ask if they have review units available for their product no matter how small your channel may be. I just started getting products to review and it helps a lot 👍🏽

I'd like to hear some opinions on this thought: Since our lives have many facets, I would have a hard time adhering to rule number 2. So, what if I were to have multiple channels for different product types? I know many of the senior YouTubers have multiple channels so they can have cohesive themes (as well as multiple income streams) but does that wreck a small channel since you don't have the following to point at your other channels?
