The 100% Buggy Exposure Tours Nel Aerts & Gert Verhoeven

On the occasion of Beaufort, Nel Aerts and Gert Verhoeven joined forces in The 100% Exposure Buggy. The baby carriage is a golf cart that has been reworked with duct tape, at the same time an art object and a means of transport for performances throughout the summer of 2021. The golf cart is originally an electric cart with which golfers move around the golf course. By putting it to use elsewhere, it becomes a cart 'off road', like a cart that has momentarily lost its tracks but also like two artists who decide to choose their own route. The title humorously refers to putting oneself on display, a play on the continuous desire to be 'seen'. By jointly purchasing the cart, the practices of Aerts and Verhoeven enter into a collaboration of indefinite duration. The cart has been worked with duct tape, an ad hoc tape for emergency repairs, making the cart continuously changeable and allowing it to look different with each 'exposure'
