He was saved every time by a real Zangetsu, and even more so Kubo in the chapter did that the real zanpakuto was crying and not a fake which name is Yhwach, then tears flowed from a white eye with a black sclera, something was not visible from the blue, and perhaps Kubo wanted to show that zangetsu was saving ichigo not for the sake of not dying himself, but so that ichigo Not dead
