This video is awesome - Thanks for making it! One important correction of the record is that the first Crazy Cart was invented by Tom Schubeck, not Ali Kermani (me). Tom's prototype featured 5 wheels in a configuration similar to the image you show @1:22. That first version of the Crazy Cart was either completely locked behind the front wheel or completely loose and able to spin around with minimal resistance, no in-between. Razor's top brass decided that the concept wouldn't really work well at mass market and passed on pursuing the concept. Inside Razor, Tom, Billy Griggs, and I would all spend our free time playing the Crazy Cart, but business wise, the idea seemed to doomed and it stayed that way for a few years. Tom left Razor, but Billy and I stayed and kept the Crazy Cart dream alive amongst ourselves and nagged internally at every chance to no avail. Then I left Razor to pursue my education and while in school I decided to make the Crazy Cart the focus of my Master's thesis. It was many years after the invention of the first Crazy Cart that I stumbled on the concept of dynamic caster angle while filming a tutorial video on how to manual on a RipStik. That night I drew the sketch you show @1:11 and that was the beginning of the current drift bar and changed the Crazy Cart from nearly uncontrollable into one of complete control. I returned to Razor in 2009 with big plans for the Crazy Cart and with the partnership of Billy Griggs who was there from the beginning and is still at Razor to this very day, as well as a whole host of other unsung heroes, we were able to get the Crazy Cart a chance at Toys R Us in 2013. At that time, most people at Razor still thought the Crazy Cart would have a very tough time being accepted by people as it was a first of it's kind item that people wouldn't immediately recognize and understand, and so it was only released on Toys R Us.com, not in any stores. Facing this challenge of very limited distribution, we made the video "Introducing the Crazy Cart" 4 days before the product went on sale and miraculously that first video went viral, leading to an unexpected explosion of sales from the very first day. After the success of that video I was charged with making "another viral video" which seemed impossible, but we tried anyway and made "Ken Box" a parody of Ken Block's Gymkhana Series that received an overwhelming amount of love from the online auto-enthusiast community and secured the Crazy Cart's spot in Razor's line up and history.
