The way stage audio works is there are multiple feeds. There is at minimum a house feed ( which is what the audience heard) there is a monitor feed ( for stage and ear monitors) and then there is a separate feed for broadcast. This is because each system has to be dialed in separately. I.e. what sounds good to the crowd with venue ambience etc may not come through good in a closed feed ( like tv) someone did not have the broadcast feed completely unmuted. What was later added was the mixer feed.. what was actually coming through to the soundboard
