“His advisers have said in the past couple of months that they would basically go to Ukraine and say, look, you either get serious negotiations going or we’ll cut off all aid.”

Threats to cut off aid to Ukraine will be Trump’s attempt “to force an outcome to negotiations”, says John Bolton.

It's on Europe to support Ukraine now. If we don't, shame on us!

How many red lines??? America should only have had one and that was for Russia to invade a sovereign nation.

If the USA chooses isolation, Europe should step up.

5:48 You must be joking here ! We, Europeans, have supported USA in every single adventure (from Iraq, Afganistan to Syria) USA had gone to ... and we did pay huge price for that, getting all the immigrants from those war riddled regions to EU, so please don't say we pay nothing...
USA without EU/NATO supporting your back, would be a lot more vulnerable to Russia, China, Iran, N.Korea....

Europe has had two and a half years to step up. The idea that they will do so now is laughable.

The "Aid" that Ukraine has received from the US has been a massive boast for the arms industry in the US, the money wasn't given to Ukraine directly, it was given to US arms manufacturers like Raytheon's the manufacturer of Patriot missiles, shares in which are now trading at 50% higher than they were before they entered the fray. That represents US jobs and money in the pockets of US businessman. Raytheon boasts that it has sold systems to almost 20 countries around the world; that is more US jobs, more money for the US from the governments of those 20 other countries. Do we really think Trump, who prides himself on being the businessman is going to pull the plug on that. What will Raytheon do-- they slash costs by slashing jobs, and their stock price will plummet. Indeed all the businesses that the US aid has been pumping money into will run for trees and it will cost the US millions. Do you really think Raytheon executives want Ukraine to be seen giving back the patriot batteries, replacing them with German Gepards. The US military arms industry to disappear from the most significant conflict in the world this century.

Time for the UK to review the so called ‘special relationship’ which only ever worked one way anyway.

Ukraine needs to start practicing opsec with regard to the American government unfortunately. When Trump takes over he can and will share their secrets with Russia

Hopefully the Biden Administration will make the most of its remaining time and get all the military aid it can to Ukraine. Europe needs to consider escalating its involvement in assisting Ukraine.

Back in the Iraq war days I really despised John Bolton and now I agree with him 100%. Its strange what Donald Trump has done to everyone and I'm certain there is worse to come.

There can only be a constitutional crisis, if the three pillars of the system (congress, justice, and military) are working independently to safeguard democracy, but it looks to me as if they're slowly being corrupted in the US. So there won't be a crisis, you're already in the middle of it, and it's becoming such a new normal that nobody notices. I think talking about a crisis in the middle of a crisis is...redundant.
