One of only two landlocked provinces in Canada, Saskatchewan is widely known for its flat prairie landscapes, but it's also home to chiselled badlands, thick boreal forest, sand dunes, and tens of thousands of lakes. It's very much an “outdoor” province as it doesn't have any major metropolitan centres.

I have lived in Saskatoon since 1961. Pop was 72, 000. What a difference 2022. Now I am moving to Ontario to a cottage on a River. A little piece of paradise. Saskatoon is just getting too busy for us. It is a beautiful city this type of year can’t beat the climate. Going to miss Saskatoon but I am looking forward to our new home in Ontario. Thanks for making the video. Great job.

Nice downtown walk, but there's sooo much more you missed! The University is gorgeous, the zoo, the Western Development Museum, Broadway Ave, the Weir, and more!

First, thanks for visiting Saskatoon and posting a video on it! I’m a local so don’t take me too serious! Clearly you are not Canadian, but not to be negative we had a good time with your commentary. Next time you come to Saskatoon I will be more than happy to give you the tour. As a local, your pronunciations were a bit off but you would need to be a local to get them correct. Saskatoon is and has always been the largest city (Regina suck it). Saskatoon is more of a university city than a conference city, but acknowledging that is correct. You did nail a lot of the good points on the city and facts! Go Riders!

Where you pointed for the University of Saskatchewan, that wasn’t correct. That was houses. The U of S is the other way, across the river. You could see it when you were at the Hotel Bess, to the left. It’s too bad you didn’t go there. It is a gorgeous campus and world renowned. Home of the Synchotron. Scientists from all over the world come to do research there. I was born here and lived here most of my life, raised my family. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

I am so amazed at the lack of graffiti and trash on the videos of Canada compared to the cities in Europe and where I live. They do take pride of their cities.

The Nutrien Wonderhub is worth checking out, has a Ferris wheel and carousel and a small train for kids, as well as splash park.

I have only been to Saskatoon in early December when it was already pretty chilly. I would certainly like to go back in the summer months. As someone from Toronto I am a little shocked at how few people are milling around. The city looks so big and sprawling. It looks like it was dropped out of the US and placed in Canada.
