I met Monsieur Leduc once; very nice man, respectful to the fans ❤

Leduc didn’t take an oath. It was an “oat”.

I was glued to the TV when ol Joe sliced his arm. He scared the shit out of me. I remember thinking Lawler was in big trouble with him.
Great time to be a kid during that era.

I remember Joe throwing Lawler on the wood ringside table. Broke lawlers leg I believe.
Joe was always one of my favorites.

Love the way Dutch starts off on a subject and then turns left and goes off script.

I remember his promo breaking a real non-gimmicked ash tray over his head and it didn't break the first time and he hit himself again. The guy was cut from a different cloth

I watched Jos LeDuc wrestle quite often during the 70's in Championship Wrestling from Florida. He got over as a face and then later was even bigger as a heel. I do seem to recall a promo in which LeDuc was seen pulling a train...with his teeth! Pretty sure I saw this and didn't just dream it, but I have been unable to find any video or other references to that event.

Irony is LeDuc was a strong Babyface in Canada. But he was top 3 scariest Heel in Memphis.

Dutch gave a perfect explanation of how the heel thing was. as a kid I always wondered why certain bad guys came and went

I remember when he wrestled in the AWA in the 70’s. Tag teamed with Larry “The Axe” Hennig. They were billed as the Axe and the Double Axe.

Damn! As a little kid, I remember Jos Leduc on Grand Prix Wrestling out of Montreal in the early 70s. I was scared to death of him!

Jos Leduc lived down the street from me during his time in Memphis. A friend and I were playing in the wooded area behind his house and got lost in the trails back there, and ended up in his backyard. He was out there grilling burgers, and yelled at us when he saw a couple of randos in his backyard. Then he realized we were just a couple of kids and offered us burgers. He had some of the neighbors over there, so we got a burger and stayed for bit. I’d see him on tv after that and he wasn’t scary anymore.

That axe blade was razor edged sharp if he was sharpening it for a day he probably barely felt it BUT the forearm has many arteries he could've bled to death..

I remember Lawler going on Memphis TV once and saying, "How come I always have to fight MONSTERS?" It did get an unusual number of wrestlers who were more like monsters...

I was a kid then, but in my upper 50s now, and remember that interview with the axe well. It will leave an impression on a kid.

I saw Jos Leduc in the early eighties in the Southeastern territory. He was one of the guys that legitimately scared the shit out of me.Dude was a legitimate nut job.But he could also work baby face and get over as a top guy for at least a while

Love listening to Dutch. He is just a great storyteller

Like his explanation of the wrestling "Kingdom" very accurate. And I never really thought of it that way.

Jos Leduc is an absolute legend in Alabama..He was a great baby face and heel there. His matches with the Mongolian stomper are still talked about til this day. As a heel against the Fullers and Bob Armstrong were incredible.

One of my girlfriends, named Sally. Married him in the 1970s. Florida was fun back in the 70s, getting to know the guys and all
