Train by far the best option. Goes at least hourly, can work on it and/or get phone and Wi-fi to watch i-Player, more room, can walk about, better choice of food/drink (even a Pullman restaurant on some trains!), more Flybe goes once per day at Silly O’Clock and doesn’t return ‘til early evening, plus is often delayed or cancelled. FlyMAYBe. On the train you can come home early, or stay late, see friends, etc. And at only 10 minutes longer, a no brainer.

Not super realistic though...who goes from Exeter to London without any luggage? Adding one checked back makes the train an easy winner. And what about cost? I suspect the train would be the winner for most real scenarios here.
