In New Jersey, a school board is holding off on an elective American studies course for high school juniors and it’s because of Toni Morrison’s book, “The Bluest Eye,” as reported by TAPinto Westfield.

After listening to some parents' concerns about the inclusion of Morrison's famous novel into the curriculum of a junior-level high school course on American studies, the Westfield school board voted 5-2 to table the decision.

Matt Kadosh, managing editor of TAPinto Westfield, joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss this story.

Let's not educate older teens, long past puberty, about the world they are about to go into...we can't have them growing up successful and emotionally secure.
