My Headcannon for this is that Ms.Chalice and all of the other statues were revered back in the day and they were a part of an army with chalice being the leader

Cuphead and Mugmam are the descendants of a once powerful society of utensils and dinner pieces.

The Statue that looks like a Coin could be that one Coin NPC at the beginning that admitted he hid his coins from the devil it's possible he used to fight with a spear until the enemies became too tough for him

So it seems like Ms. Chalice is actually a legendary warrior from many many years ago, based on her true form's outfit I'd guess she existed in the Greek era. But I guess at some point she became a celestial spirit that can exist in the real world, and she has been around for nearly 3000 years or so, and right now she hopes to one day become forever mortal again. As long as it doesn't evolve someone sacrificing their soul to do so.

Since ms chalice was already a thing, I’m guessing this was intentional. That’s pretty cool though. It’s amazing how much care and detail was put into this :)

Makes me wonder why Ms. Chalice’s ghostly form (and statue) are that of an adult but her playable form is a kid like Cuphead & Mugman

I noticed this at first when I was interested what the ghosts Chalice summons looked like. Just imagine though we get a DLC for each of them as a new character i'd be happy.

So, the first thing I noticed is that aside from the coin and Ms. Chalice herself, absolutely NONE of those ghosts looked relative to the statues. Plus, wouldn’t it technically be lore rather than Easter eggs?
