A - but only organically. I don't like being seated at my dinner table with strangers but I do enjoy meeting new people throughout my cruise and have gained some lifelong friends that way.

Meeting new people from all walks of life with no prejudice, is my favorite thing to do. I love when we can all come together. I cruise carnival. And I’m a “black man”

Danger ahead!! The size of these new cruise ships will further ruin cruising as it was / is. Ports can't accommodate them and, in fact, do not want them. We've been forced now to pay more and move to small ship cruising. We've done several Oceania ships with only 650 passengers. We got to know so many new friends and visit St. Barts and anchor at Jost Van Dyke in B.V.I. with only 400 people living on the island. Large ships are never allowed! What a treat.

B - we have been on 20+ cruises and used to always want group tables and group activities. Now we prefer to do our own thing.

HOWVER with all these new ships carrying MORE people are ridiculous. Too crowded and can’t enjoy any space. Not only that but like with Icon you have to pay EXTRA for many things. This will make me search for the smaller cruise ships

C-We enjoy each other company (my husband and I) but we also enjoy and welcome casual and natural interaction with new people. That's why we prefer small ships.

A. As a smoker, I have made some amazing connections with folks from all over the world and all walks of life on the smoker's deck. We tend to see the same people day after day. It's a thing.

C It depends if we’re traveling with a group or as a couple. It’s always great to talk to other people-everyone has a story and are so interesting!

My sister and I travel together all the time and love meeting new people from around the world on every single trip. I agree with several others that the new bigger ships do not make it better. We are currently trying several class ships on different cruise lines to see which ones really fit us the best. We don’t have to have a really small ship but 8000 is just too big. 😊

My husband and I enjoy meeting new people! That's a big part of cruising. Married for over 47 yrs. If we only wanted to be alone, we might as well travel by car! Yes we want to be together, but new people add spice and variety to outlooks and conversation.
