Thank you for this explanation! This worked perfectly for my personal accounts.

For anyone who can only see the "Clear History" and "Export Board" options - it is likely that your organization/company blocked the option to export your mailbox (I am a former teacher who was trying to back-up and save all of my emails but was unable to do so because of this).

thanks .. when I click on 'privacy and data', there is no option to export. Instead, it just lists 'search history' 'board' and 'microsoft notice'

What if Export Mailbox doesn't pop up in the Privacy and Data tab? Only export search history and board showed up...

Is the exported file in a format that is readable with a text editor?

Thanks for the video. I tried exactly that. However it gave me a link to download something over 10GB all at once. Somehow I tried it many many times and it just does not allow me to download so much data in one go (it just fails after a few hours). I wonder if there is any other way to do this? Thanks.

Thanks for the video. It's just a shame Greedy Microsoft smother their outlook pages with update storage which you have to pay for yet they hide this option to simply download your entire Mailbox behind so many buttons and options instead of just placing an Export mailbox button on the home page. Any way to trick you into making an unnecessary purchase.

when I click on 'privacy and data', there is no option to export. Instead, it just lists 'search history' 'board' and 'microsoft notice'. Anyone find a solution to this? My mailbox is full and I don't want to loose messages by deleting. I just want to download. I can no longer receive emails to my desktop app so am stuck with the web version. Any help or advice gratefully received!
