Pranam Swamiji! Indeed your quarter by quarter translation makes your teachings special for me. I find it easy to understand and as you say closer and truer to the meaning of the words. Pranam!

As an individual, I am in a no-man's-land. I came to Vedanta when I was about 40, and now I'm about 50. Sometimes I get jealous of relatively conservative Hindus who have this whole plan set out for them where they work through karma yoga with a family, probably even had their marriage set up for them, then retire and enjoy the pursuit of moksha. When I came to Vedanta, the last thing I wanted was a relationship ruining my sadhana. I haven't avoided women, but I haven't pursued them. Basically women my age are all married, or have no interest in spirituality, or are otherwise unsuitable as partners, so I haven't had a partner in ages. Sometimes I think having a wife and a kid or two would be very nice, but it's also something I don't pursue. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I know that the things we pursue in this world are value-neutral and for every pro there is a con. I don't have the financial security that many of my peers have. I sometimes worry about the future, particularly living in a country that I'm not from, where I don't have citizenship. Anyway, those are the things I observe in life. I'm definitely not a "type" of person. I just live my life. I know I am awareness of all of this. Sometimes as an individual I forget this, but I'm not the individual.

Swami chinmayznanda the paramagurunetic has given another metaphor for 6 3 Arooraksha word he compares with the effort of mounting a horse for the first time Again he compares yogaroodha with the state when one has mastered the act

Bhagavān Buddha: attāhi attanô nāthô attāhi attanô gathihi. Tasmā sannamaya attānaṃ assaṃ bhadraṃ vāṇijo.- You, the Ātma, are your own Master; you, the Ātma, make your own future. Hence discipline yourself [the mind] as a horse-trader trains s pure-bred.

"Without renouncung desires no one becomes a yogi"...n how do we know who has renounced all their desires?
We don't. Only God does.

Swami jee, I appreciate your so deep knowledge of the Bhahavad Gita. My one question: who can become a sanyasi (i.e., a Hindu ascetic who goes to the jungle for penance )? Only Brahmin, or even Keshtriya, Vaishya and Sudra as well?

Funny Ishawa wants us to forget but we want to remember, and together it's a twirl of matter and mind

Why would one be done with Karma Yoga? Surely we cannot retreat to a cave, why close our eyes when i see all is the appearance of the divine? Karma is overcome when desires are renounced but this is karma yoga rather than a more advanced movement to meditation. I would also question why i need to wait to be less busy with householder life to be able to meditate. Some great thought provoking versus at the start of ch6. Anyone able to address above queries?
Thanks 🙏

Why can't words in 3rd and 4th lines of 6.5 means "one who is bound or charmed by himself; becomes an enemy to himself"?
