Antarctica was in a different place on the globe before the pole shift. The earth flipped during the deluge - I believe - and magnetic pole shift. It was most probably in a more temperate zone. Probably around the area of the equator. Incidentally, we are due another such pole shift and magnetic anomalies and the earth will again rotate leaving the continents in different geological zones. This explains them (scientists) finding tropical trees and vegetation in the antarctic regions. This theory can be further backed up by evidence of the great flood and what is known as the 'younger dryas' period.
