Ok, so I started about a month and a half late (wasn't originally planning on playing and I'm really taking my time). Almost every item from cooking items, to cloth, to skins, to ore, to gems, etc. aren't worth selling this time around. When I go to the AH my addon tells me I'd make more money selling it to the vendor. People are already buying up the ones that dip below that point which was the next thing I thought to do. I'd lose money making items or bags for tailoring (I'm going through and scanning for all the items I can make). Same thing with lower level wands. Fishing doesn't seem worth it on my server, I'm having to vendor various pearls from killing turtles, etc.

The only exception I've found so far is wool cloth (since it is used for rep), and to get the training/mount with honored discount I'd need to farm 300, 000 pieces of wool cloth @ ~3 silver sell price per after AH fees. I spent over an hour trying to farm in a place that the other faction usually doesn't go since it's on the other side of the world away from them, but only ended up with 24 pieces of wool cloth because of high levels ganking continually. Doing the math, I'm on pace to have my mount after 12, 500 hours of grinding lol (521 days in game overall haha)... so this doesn't seem worth it at all. Greens can also sell decent if I don't DE them, but this doesn't happen regularly enough to reasonably make that much gold even doing dungeon runs.

TLDR: the bots are ruining EVERYTHING. I'm being priced out of everything I can think of, and I can't even keep up with something like AH flipping since it seems this is now being automated. My gold is WAAAAY behind and I'm currently lvl 33. There has to be some sort of vendor farm or SOMETHING I can do. I'm sure if you were ahead of the waves of bots it's a lot better, but right now I'm trying to find something that isn't overly flooded. I'm even considering making an alt to do some combination of mining/skinning/herbalism, but so far only the ore I've come across sells on AH; the skins and herbs my addon tells me to vendor.

I've never had this much trouble before. Wat do?

I have no idea why people keep recommend fishing. Its so terrible, you get at least the same gold from grinding mobs and you get xp. You make so much more from simply unlocking higher level activities, it literally blows my mind that people think fishing is good for gold during leveling.
