King's Coronation: Are the King and Queen still relevant to a modern United Kingdom?

In a timely boost for the Royal Family, King Charles has become more popular in the run-up to the coronation - according to an exclusive poll for Sky News.

At the same time Sky's poll also found that support for a republic has risen to its highest level since the early 1990s, posing questions about the longevity of the institution.
