Tim Heidecker is working through his existential dread, in the form of song. Best known for his absurdist comedy, he's leaned more into songwriting in recent years. He sat down with AP entertainment journalist Krysta Fauria to talk about his latest album “Slipping Away,” which moves between semi-fictional apocalyptic storytelling and poignant, vulnerable reflections on fatherhood, aging and success. #timheidecker #timanderic

Can’t believe this monster escaped prison time for his actions at the music festival

I've been a big fan of Dekkar since the beginning. So I've known Tim's been a musical savant for a long time. I will say though, none of the songs showcased in this video hold a candle to Empty Bottle.

Love seeing him make music and take it more seriously these days. As much as I got a kick out of his humor on Tom Goes To The Mayor and Tim & Eric, the elements that rang in almost every project he did was the music. So it’s cool to see him evolve that over time till now.

Dad of the year is my anthem, man. Means a lot to me. Thanks for making it, Tim.

Imma give this video 5 bags of popcorn and a little guitar keychain for all the music we’ll hear. 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿 🍿 🎸

Still waiting on a Dekkar reunion and maybe even an MT Botle 4.0?

I think because Tim & Eric are probably the greatest comedic voices of at least Gen Y, that can do no wrong in many's eyes (which I'm guilty of to some extent), his fans have become way too timid to admit that his venture into music is absolute cringe. Why do all funny people eventually have that same "funny-man crisis" where they have to make everyone listen to them play an instrument, lol.

Word of advice to the interviewer, entertainment journalist Krysta Fauria (and AP producers): For future interviews, unless you share the screen with the guest, consider editing out your voice, otherwise, hearing you off camera cheapens and jars the conversation somewhat.
