Recently went on an odd LHR-ARN flight using this aircraft. Gorgeous!

Some people like to rag on British Airways but I have always found their long haul WT product to be quite decent. At the very least, it's competitive and consistent. It does vary based on the equipment type, and I admit to having not flown in one of their Dreamliners yet, but it looks more than acceptable for a flight of 8 hours. I'll have to take you at your word on your experience but in many flights I have found the service is usually quite good.
Obviously the recent strikes and other high profile incidents at LHR, such as when the baggage system fails, have some what sullied BA's reputation at times, but when they are on they are good. And Terminal 5 at Heathrow is so much better than the other terminals, that alone almost makes taking BA worth it.

That IFE box under the seat would have driven me nuts! British Airways also needs a new Business Class! Nice review

Wow! You had a good trip on BA! I’m so happy for you. BA are so hit and miss on quality of service, condition of planes, and food. I’m glad you hit a good one. And got to see a typical British day, WET!

Great review! I've never been on one (I always choose 747 because I like them & trust them). I may have to choose one soon due to time issues with the flights. Would you recommend one for a flight? I seem to remember the wings being quite "bendy" and batteries causing fires (or was that another plane?) Thanks
