Man, this song sounds like being on the open road. Just traveling with no particular destination in mind. No schedules, no commitments, no hassles, no worries, no stress; just the freedom of going wherever your destiny awaits you.

10 Oscars for that song. So viel Gefühl auf einem hohlen Stück Holz mit ein paar Stahldrähten drauf. Dieser Kerl ist einfach groß.

IMHO, one of Tommy's greatest songs. It's fun to listen to, fun to play, and it just expresses joy at every turn. It never gets old and just lifts your heart!!

I'm so glad people like you are discovering Tommy, we have been listening to him for over 50 years here in Australia.

By far my favourite acoustic solo piece.  So melodic and flowing, I can listen to it all day.

Years and years later. I come back to this song. Nothing has inspired me more than this song to be a better guitar player. I promised my mom I would play this in her honor at her funeral, it’s not a morbid thought for me. It’s a peaceful one. I will learn this, if nothing else, but to give my mom a beautiful send off into the afterlife. It will never be easy, but this song has given me a reason to dedicate more of myself to music. To seeing my mom’s smile as I play chords to songs she recognizes. That woman deserves the spirit this song provides

He means it. He is weaving a story in front of our eyes, his soul and his guitar have found harmony here. Thank you !

The lord is my shepherd I shall not want

He makes me lie down in green pastures he leads me besides the still waters

He restores my soul he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and your staff they comfort me

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies you anoint my head with oil my cup runs over

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of Lord forever.

Amen

As one gets older, the more one appreciates quality. Tommy is one year younger than me, and ever since I was introduced to his music about 9 years ago, not a day goes by that I don't enjoy it. I'll be seeing him for the 6th time this Saturday at the Palace of Fine Arts. He often plays the same song, but never the same way twice. He is truly the finest musician I have even had the honor of seeing live.

Tommy, I think your music is flawless. I respect you big time. You might be the perfect version of a musician.

The bottom line is this: When a man picks up his guitar, and every single note you hear is full of that mans soul and passion, and you know exactly what that man is feeling, he is a true artist. Every note Tommy plays is another thought, emotion or feeling coming from deep inside him that he is sharing with us. We should count ourselves lucky that his technique is at a level at which he can convey these emotions clearly through his music. He is a true musician!

I've seen quite a few of Tommy's performances on YT and you can't be but convinced he's one of the finest guitarists out there .... but ... this one is something different ... it tugs at your heart strings ...

Hi Mr.Tommy Emmanuel, I don't know if you read all the comments on you page, I just want to say that you are a amazing person who happens to play the guitar in a special way that really touches peoples lives and adds so much to the art of music. So thank you very much for your humbly contribution to a better and gracious world. From Japan Ufera

If I had to pick three of Tommy’s songs… that would suck because they always stir up feelings and open my mind and soul but this would be one of the three!!

I attended you concert in St. Louis earlier this year.  My classical Alvarez is now 50 years old and I haven't played it in a while.  After attending your live performance I know that I can never play with your level of skill but what I learned from watching you is that you have fun when you're playing.  Not to impress but to have fun and that was what I was missing.  I went home, got out my guitar and replaced the strings and now I play for fun.  Thank you for showing me the way.

Tommi always blows me away. His tone, his technique, his down to earth aura, but what really inspires, is how he’s this age, and still in love with music and that tiny box with strings as if he were a ten year old at his first concert.

Six strings, a great player and a superb song : that's all the love we need. Thank you so much, Tommy Emmanuel.
