I agree with you partially on this.... I have total 13 years of HR experience as technical/functional consultant. I will say that world is changing and now it's going towards predictive analytics more... Instead of focusing on Why, How and What... We also know that disruptive changes are good for business and that could be one of reason for the HR transformation but it does not address Why and How...

I went to Cambridge and got a 1st in Electrical Engineering. I did my MBA at Harvard and my JD at Harvard. Most HR Business Partners are waste of money. I want to eliminate 50% of HR workers. 90% of HR Business Partners are complete waste of payroll.
