What I would do in this situation is I would get a straw, drink out of the water and then yank out the money.

Two actual ways to do this. One... Roll up the bill and only Touch the end to slowly slide the cup off of the bill. Two.. slide to the edge of the table and while tightly gripping edge of the bill, use your index finger on the opposite hand to "slice" between where you're gripping the bill and the cup. Gotta commit though and follow through. Same physics as swiping a table cloth with a set table.
