Egypt’s Sisi tells Blinken: ‘Jews were never targeted in our region’

‘Targeting [of Jews] that happened may have occurred in Europe, but it did not happen in our Arab and Muslim countries.’

In a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Egypt’s President Sisi zoned in on the American diplomat's previous remarks that he was Jewish and understood Jewish oppression during his visit to Israel.

As a high level representstive of the US, Blinken made a grave error in stating that he was "speaking as a Jew" when he visited Israel. He should always be speaking as the US Secretary of State; no more and no less. His personal life and religion should have no influence on how he carries out his duties, and certainly should not be used as leverage, or to show favor. This is especially concerning because he did the same thing with the Ukraine war; then he presented himself as Ukrainian. In both cases he was openly displaying an incredibly unprofessional and questionable degree of bias

I lived in Egypt for 6 months, I know Egyptian Christians and I witnessed them walking in the streets among muslims. They are all respected and treated as highly valuable members of society, they are also financially successful many of them and noone steals or attacks them. If you compare that now to how Israel even treats other Jews that don't agree with their "system" then you know who's the problem in the region

This fact was never mentioned, especially by the Israelis & the western powers, but it’s documented historically, not only they live peacefully along the Arabs, they were protected by the Arabs. Eg, many Jews decided to move with the muslims when they withdraw from Spain.

I heard the very same from a prominentJewish Rabbi in the US. He said that all through history the Muslim people have been friends and allies of the Jewish people, until Europe meddled in and governments spoke for the people and made the decisions 🙁
