Egypt's President Sisi hosts Jordanian and Palestinian leaders to discuss Saudi-Israel ties

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi welcomed the Palestinian and Jordanian leaders for a trilateral meeting in the northern coastal city of El Alamein, amid speculation that Saudi Arabia is moving towards normalising ties with Israel.

A joint statement said the three leaders discussed the importance of Israel halting all settlement activity as well as its confiscation of Palestinian lands, ending the eviction of Palestinians from their homes and changing the nature and identity of Jerusalem.
