"Always do the quests before exploring!"
Me, at ar 21, who just walked from Liyue to Fontaine:

a supplement to #1: your 2-hour archon quest can easily become 12 hours long due to chests/puzzles pulling you back and forth the map, which is gonna suck if you don't have a lot of time to play in a day. Save exploration for a day off or something.

Thing I wish I knew as a beginner: do NOT pull on the standart banner...

Another tip is that if you dont have a character to mark down those region-based materials, use your pins. Only remove them when you have the character.

Liyue is the only continent whos chests are filled with important 3 star weapons. If Mondstadt has powerful 4 star characters, Liyue focuses on weapons.

Make sure to have one team fully leveled up before continuing. Otherwise youll be scrambling to gather materials when you cant defeat an enemy. Have a second team if you have enough or in higher ar level.

Dont use your primos as resin. Please dont. My brother uses primos to recharge his resin and it hurts me everytime he couldnt get the character he wanted.

Interactive map is a godsend for 100% explorers like me. Though there are few bugs and inaccuracy, it still helped 100% new regions in one or two day(s) 🙏

A tip that changed my whole genshin acc forever was if a new region got released, of course the first thing was to explore it and do the archon quest. But I would stubble across some hydroculus' and the best thing to do is not to collect them yet. I would always collect them after I'm done with the archon quests, events, or others. I find the guides on YouTube to watch, so I don't have to wander around like crazy trying to look for the ones I found before.

Another tip is that u can just mark out the ones u found already. Makes it more easier if u know what u have already and what ur missing.

And yes, I offer them at the same time to the statue to have ✨satisfaction✨

Random tip i find helpful: if u find an area with 3 or more crystalfly spawns mark it on ur map, there is an underwater fontaine precious chest sealed behind a hydro shield that has 6 fly spawns and its almost right next to a way point so definitely mark it

I wish i knew the 3star weapon. Im currently stuck with R1 white tassel and a 100% explored liyue. I just have to wait for the new village area (that i forgot what it was called) to come

I have a really bad memory, so something that helps me a lot is for commissions that are multiple parts long, specifically ones like tales of winter that have different options, I put a pin in the void near it saying what option I need to pick next time I get it, so that I don't end up picking the wrong one & have to wait for the next time I get it. Additionally, with quests that take multiple in game days but don't show up in the quest menu every day (& you have to go to the location to start it every time) like Asase shrine, I pin the location so when Im scrolling on the map I see it & am like "Oh yeah I need to do that today". I also use pins for every time trial, chest, & oculi I see that I dont go to (either because I m doing something else or I can't figure out how to do it), so I can go back to it later. Also Shrines of depths so I can know where they are. This also applies to things like doors that need keys I don't have or secret rooms like the one in the city in the chasm or the one below king deshrets mauloseum, where you need to fight enemies to unlock it. So that when I do finally find a way to do them, I know where Im going.
Basically, I use pins for everything & they've made my genshin experience a lot easier.

I do sometimes want to do step one... But exploring is fun so I did my exploration of Sumeru and Fontaine before finishing the Archon Quest or the Aranara series. 😂

Anorher tip: Dont stress, dont skip quests, and take your time!

The "doing main/world quests" first only really matter if you're exploring Sumeru. You could argue with Inazuma and Fontaine, but mostly theres no problem doing it later and you could explore most of the area with no issue

I wasn’t ever told not to use 3* weapons for fodder but I just never used them and I still somehow have some travelers handy swords💀

On the note of the 3 star thing... fillet blade. On jean. She does some pretty good damage like 2-3 for elemental skill(I'm not a super dedicated player so that's big damage for me)

As a person who uses phone to play genshin I can't really use interactive map so it's a pain in the butt 💀

I like to explore before the archon quests, that way I don't feel like "I have to explore because I got nothing to do"

If you don't look yourself for ascension materials, chests, and other stuff, you killed 25% of the fun of the game.Don't listen to him, do your own story.
