Let's Photograph The Elephant's Trunk Nebula

The Elephant's Trunk Nebula (IC1396), located in Cepheus. This is a large emission nebula that has a very distinctive shape to it. It can be a bit tricky to see the Elephant's Trunk when looking at the image, but if you turn your head to the right, you can see the trunk Whilst the Moon is up, the Hydrogen-Alpha filter comes in play!

I had issues trying to calibrate the data though. There was some starbursting on the right hand side of the image that I struggled with (you may remember me mentioning this). I've had some suggestions on fixing it. Once I've got conclusive results, I'll let you know what was done!

I'm focussing more on the film making aspects of my videos now and enjoying it greatly! I think this might be one of my better videos to date. Enjoy!

Great video, nice to see you exploring some different video techniques, I enjoyed the "wide" timelapse and the end result was awesome.

We've all made that mistake that’s one reason why I love my Ioptron, it always sets the tracking depending on what object you Goto, nice video 👍
