Whoever invented that cool rice paper holder contraption thingy is a genius.

People act like spring rolls didn’t exist before the wet paper holding thingy

I had Vietnamese spring rolls at my friends house during a sleep over. It was my first time having most of the things I saw on the table. I’d never had rice paper, or the type of noodles they had. But it was amazing. There was noodles, mango, and pork on mine with soy sauce. Not the most exotic but it was amazing

Ways to confirm spring roll you put together was a success-

Make sure it survives all the sauce dunks

I love your channel so much because it’s so realistic… like u use leftovers you use what you have and you still make delicious looking food! It’s super nice and makes me feel like I don’t need all the fancy foods and fancy tools that the top chefs have

We would use a long flat plate with a lip on it so the water wouldn't come out ❤ Kinda like Christmas cookie trays. 😊
Vietnamese here. ❤❤ No spinning needed, but we did use lukewarm water.

We always used boiling water so it would become warm by the time we were eating, and we still always use a bowl to this day, although its been a while since we had spring rolls

You should try this, i made it yesterday and it was amazing! You fry some chopped garlic with oil and put in the grinded pork meat(about 50g), add 2 chopped tomatoes when the meat is almost done, mush it and add in 500ml of water, let it boil then add the shin ramyun noodles and seasoning packages, crack in an egg then cook for 4 mins on medium heat. Super good!

Thanks for sharing you life, cooking, and thoughts. It's given me a lot of context, made experimenting with dishes more meaningful and It's made the pandemic a bit easier. The pandemic has shaken my family and cooking has really helped me cope and share some joy. You've helped me put smiles on a few faces and that means to world to me. Thank you.
