Quick tip: Open a Screw Back Watch WITHOUT the Proper Tools

Here are two methods you can use to open a screw-back watch case without having to buy the proper unscrewing tool.
Calipers work best, but using scissors is perhaps a more accessible household method.

Thanx for your idea! I actually managed to opened mine with a scissor without scratches & fixed the automatic mechanical rotor with a knife blade as I didn't have any really thin screwhead even in my micro screwdriver set surprisingly 😂

The first method is like using a torque bar to undo a bolt...don't do it !

If you don't have the proper tool, perhaps you have another entirely obscure tool that will also work... smh

Dont use calipers with plastic "jaws". You will only ruin their accuracy, and possibly break the instrument beyond repair.
