"God doesnt treat us on the basis of what we will do. He treats us o the basis of what we are doing at the moment." Such a good quote!!!

Interesting thing about Judas in Season 4… he even LOOKS more sinister than in earlier seasons! I’m talking about his appearance. And I don’t know if it’s just my imagination or what. Maybe it’s his acting, expressions etc.?

I remember the scene with Judas and his sister when he shared his decision to follow Jesus. She was concerned for him because the prior decisions didn't turn out for good. But she truly loved her brother.❤

This show has been masterful with its writing and portrayal of all the characters. There are nitpicky things about what some of the characters say and some modern phrases used but I absolutely love the show and have full confidence that they will get Judas right and then finish the series well at season seven.

The Chosen...
Jesus - "I'm going to say things that make sense to some, but not to others. That's just how it's going to be."
Also Jesus - "I'm frustrated that my own followers don't understand what I've been saying to them."

What you were saying about Judas is like: God has seen the movie that is Time, and knows our decisions before we make them. He doesn’t make or force decisions on us: it’s just that he knows what decisions we WILL make.

I think you're exactly right in saying this is the making or breaking point for the chosen. The character of Judas happens to be the most developed person in the world of the chosen. Extremely ready to see how close we come to the betrayal in season five. 😅 Such a great work and it really shows in the writing of The Chosen. Just know that we as fans can appreciate the progression and growth of the show. We're on the edge of our seats waiting for Season 5!! 😅

I do have to say 1 thing. People need to realize The Chosen is not a ministry. It is the most fantastic show to ever exist, that has brought so many to Christ, brought so many back to Christ (like myself) and they are trying to stay as close as possible to The Bible as they possibly can, the best thing they've done is bring on the people of the round table and go over scripts to keep it in line. But bottom line is, they are a show and yes they are trying to reach the masses, that all costs money. Which is for sure the root of all evil but there again is unfortunately a total necessity in these times or all times really. So the fact they are growing, getting better sets, doing all the languages, and YES Dallas starting his own studios.. heck yes! He had to do this, I mean look at all he's wanting to bring us and he doesn't want to get into another tangle with another studio. I for 1 am so excited to see him going forth with all the new projects!! I can remember 3 yrs ago, laying in bed not able to sleep because I have loads of pain due to lupus, RA and Osteoarthritis..I love watching shows and movies about The Bible, came across The Chosen season 1 on YouTube and decided to watch. Oh my gracious..I was so moved, sat and cried, was happy and prayed right then to Our Lord and Savior to please forgive my last 30 something years of falling away from him.. and then called my best friend of 44 yrs and told her she had to watch. It was at this time the middle of the night lol.. but it was just SO IMPORTANT to me, she woke up and watched. She called me crying and had also fell hook line and sinker for the show. Fast forward to today, we've been to both Chosen Cons, donate to Come and See and we tell everyone about the show!! I'm so thankful to God for leading Dallas and Amanda to making the show, doing all they do and for the future series to come❤ Thank you to you as well for having this channel and talking about the show❤❤❤❤ God Bless you🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

I think the saddest thing about Judas is that, if he'd waited 3 days, Jesus would've forgiven even him! But his awful feelings of guilt caused him to again act rashly and off himself as a sinner. We'll have to wait until the White Throne Judgement to see how God judges his faith before this action against this horrible betrayal as it was used to bring about God's will. Can you imagine the witness Judas would've had if he'd lived & been forgiven after the Resurrection? He could've been even greater than Paul! So very sad. 😢

I am surprised that Dallas didn't have an Eastern Orthodox representative on the roundtable. I believe that if you read church history that the Orthodox were there from the beginning.. Any insight on this Brandon?

Based on scripture, it seems like Judas thought Jesus was "doing it wrong" and so he wanted to get Jesus out of the way so he could properly lead the church... After Jesus was taken and everyhting falls apart, then he realizes that there is no church without Jesus...

David Tate has said in the past that when Jesus told the 12 one of them would betray him, they questioned themselves instead of Judas... no one even suspected him because he was one of them. 😢

The writers are being very careful not to be anti-semetic with the writing of Judas.

I’m not looking forward to seeing Judas get worse and worse and eventually betray Jesus. It’s going to be sad!

Early in Judas's character, he introduced himself as from Cariote. However it is pronounced, it IS known that Judas is from a known zealot region. So it is VERY plausible that he expects a conqueror as the Messiah.
And I think The Chosen has written and directed his path well. I love the explanation of him gradually and continually "missing the mark" for the true Messiah way to the point he chooses to let satan have his way with him.
That whole perspective of God knowing Judas's choice ahead and laying out the path for him explains the whole destiny versus free will debate.

I think it's always dangerous to assume motives, so stay clear of attributing motives to Judas. However, I do trust that Jesus/God did know Judas's motives, loved/pitied Judas in his role, but allowed Judas to fulfill his role in the plan determined since the beginning. God loves ALL of his creation/creatures and loves them enough to turn away from him.
