The Future is African

One of my first viral videos on Tiktoks was a video I did on how 'The future would be African', for a number of different reasons. From the fact that while the rest of the world is struggling to produce enough children to naturally replace their population - the majority of African countries have the highest birthrate in the world.

The original TikTok video sparked a number of conversations as to why or why not African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, etc might emerge as world powers by the end of the century. There were a number of comments related to life expectancy, government, infrastructure, education, and I tired to touch on as many as I could in this video.

Great videos. Do you plan on doing more? As for audio, it sounds like a possible issue could be your environment. It seems a bit far off. Could be cause the microphone is far away or maybe because your room reflects sound a bit. You have brick walls, which is a huge sound reflector. Otherwise, it could be someone improved in your video editor. Great work! I like your videos and hope to see more posted soon. Wish I had the time to do this kind of research to do videos like these. Props to you.

I get that this is a problem.. but honestly, .. when the cards stacked against you from the get go, (and I’m sure it’ll be worse in the future)- why would I want anyone else to have to go through this? Sounds cruel

Wasn't tech supposed to reduce costs and the need for labour ? Instead it seems to have had the opposite effect. The cost of production seems to have inceased rather than decreased. Also, when you mention birth rates declining, in developed countries such as China and Japan, arguably the main reason for said phenomenon comes down to economics (ie the cost of raising a child). Elon Musk probably wants more people, not becuase of a larger work force, but a larger comsumer base which leads to even more profit. Tech was supposed to reduce the need for labour and in turn a larger population, leading to a better quality of life. If you've ever visited or lived in a large city you know what I mean, It;s so overcrowded getting anywhere is a nightmare in a private vehicle or public transport. Just for starters
