I personally love them older plumbing supply stores they have such great people and always come in clutch when it comes down to older faucets and other stuff

Okay but that old faucet is ROCK SOLID. It's not moving at all. The sink-attached faucets are wobbly and feel cheap.

Do you have the part info? I have the same one and want to order a new cartridge

God I love those faucet specialists. There’s a place called Faucet Shoppe in Chicago. They probably have the most cartridges and stems in the state. One day I go over and try and match up a cartridge. I do the usual small talk “yeah I’m working near the lake today and ran into this-“ “oh what’s the building number?” “Uh… 2100 or something?” And he reached into a drawer with the number on it and handed me the cartridge. They know that the building I was doing work on used the same cartridge in every unit and keeps them all stock piled for plumbers that need them. I love these guys. If you wanna go, I encourage you. But Bring Samples!

Do you charge travel when acquiring parts not normally stocked on your truck?

What about the faucet seats did you inspect them are they good otherwise that repair is only going to be good for a short period of time

Looks like price pfister, but using ceramic stems. No replaceable seats on this setup. These faucets don’t have angle stops below the sink either.
Probably an asian knockoff.
There used to be millions in service— handles don’t come off as easy as these did. You’ll need a handle puller. I’ve got these in my units.

I always turn on the water then put thr handles back on, just incase the stems leak

Finally someone who does the fight thing; most videos they're charging to replace instead of repairing when it would be a lot cheaper... Too busy trying to wack and get over on the customer👍

Better check the water pressure. Those looked like ceramic disc style stems which use the pressure of a compressed rubber washer as a spring to keep the valve sealed.

So interesting how it is mounted to the wall. It would probably be much more expensive to replace such a faucet set up

Most homes in Texas have the sink facing the back yard.

In an outside wall???? Would freeze every winter in Arkansas. You must be in a place where you don't get freezing temps

Those faucets are horrible, unfortunately the new cartridges will probably start to drip within the year.

they are lucky That would have been expensive to replace the faucet and reroute the pipes. I had a similar issue with my shower. It was a weird model that the plumber could not find replacement parts for.

High risk removing the cartridge without having the replacement ready. Its not like that faucet has angel stops to shut off in case the old cartridge doesn't go back in.
