This is so amazing. I wish more pediatricians were like this. He really seems to focus on what's best for his patients. How hard a hospital visit would have been for this little guy, getting poked and prodded when he was already tense and in pain but couldn't vocalize it.

Dr. Paul you're the kind of pediatrician who I wish I had for my son he's in his 40's now. He had a good pediatrician but if you were around back then I'm sure I would have had you for him. I want to cry because you can tell how much relief this sweet baby is getting. He doesn’t want to leave that woman giving him relief even for mama, and you can see at the beginning he has stranger anxiety. The pain relief was so much that it was worth the stranger to him.

I am so excited that you have incorporated massage to your practice. Touch is so powerful and it can be so healing. I was a licensed massage practitioner, medically certified for 20 yrs. I had to retire due to a very rare autoimmune. Until I retired I loved watching patients improve not only physically but emotionally as well. All my patients were life limited. The touch helped so many of them cope with their disease(s). Thank you again for bringing this on board with your practice!

I had a preemie who had digestive issues who failed to thrive despite receiving breast milk. As she got older she had repeated intestinal issues. One day on a whim in a Japanese restaurant where I had ordered sashimi I gave her a tiny bite to see what happened. She gobbled it down. Now, I know fish is allergenic and raw fish can have parasites. But she had been sick all day and she was so enthusiastic that she ate the whole slice of fish. The waitresses were politely horrified and I thought that maybe I was going to make her worse. Next week after rejecting even jello and clear liquids and having horrible diarrhea we went back to that restaurant and she nearly snatched the sashimi out of my chop sticks and ate it. She was about a year old. So, I fed it to her. She loved it and it was almost the only protein I could get this tiny little girl to eat. So, without telling my pediatrician, who I knew would stop me immediately, we took her out for sashimi twice a week and she slowly began to eat rice too. At home she began accepting her food too and it stayed inside her longer. Over time she began gaining weight.

Today she is in her 40s. She regularly cooks and eats a typical Japanese diet of fish and broths and rice and veggies. She sometimes has bouts of intestinal problems but she has learned that cabbage and broccoli can only be eaten in minute portions. Hot spicy food gives her problems. But miso soup and fish based foods are fine and she is healthy and happy. She has expanded her diet to many Asian style dishes from many countries and carefully eats a healthy American diet too. But mostly, she sticks to the soups and broths with veggies and fish that she can digest.
