you are 100% correct and good on you for addressing the bullying aspect.
As Breakers, if we are going to critique, At the very least we need to keep it breaking related. At the end of the day its not personal and our opinions on someone should not go outside of "BREAKING". Too many people are hunting her profiles down just to comment things that are not related to her performance and its kinda disgusting. EVEN some BREAKERS are making this mistake and its quite disappointing.

Very well said, Me personally as someone who started breaking for almost 6 months a complete beginner, i really kinda feel bad for her, but still believe on IOC's are the ones who suppose to took the hate since they let her go and compete.

Wish the media put more attention on the rest of the participants and the medal winners, it feels a bit disrespectful to all the other amazing athletes that went there to compete.
I do think Breaking 100% deserve a spot in Olympics, as a newcomer discipline though I think there should have been more explanations for the general public to understand, especially the judging system

I felt the issues around Raygun are less to do with her individually and more about the holisitc shortcomings of the inclusion of breaking in the Olympics. The governance and administration of breaking as a sport clearly wasn't mature enough to take on the role of running events, especially in the Oceania region.

Raygun earned her spot, but it was by far the weakest qualifying event open only to Australia and New Zealand. If there was a second round that Raygun had to qualify through, that would have ticked both international inclusion (Oceania had the chance to qualify) and quality control (by contesting in a stronger region).

All the Oceania runners up placed at the bottom of the Shanghai qualifier, and Raygun likely would at least be mid field and, as her competitive history shows, not made the round robin stage.

Should breaking come back, there probably will be a "Raygun" rule like there is an "Eddie the Eagle" rule to prevent woefully underqualified athletes to take the world stage.

I really think that people have a right to be upset that This Level of Talent (Or, Clear Lack of Talent) was allowed at the level of an Olympic Event. I agree about the bullying, but someone needs to take accountability for an Obvious Screw Up here. Bottom Line is That THIS Should have Never been allowed.

THANK YOU FOR THIS EXPLANATION! We need more of this! Such a silly situation the mainstream media and the Internet blew up. Breaking and its supporters need to do more to promote the amazing accomplishments that took place at the Olympics and need to reach out to those who have a legit interest in teaching the youth and others who want to be a part of it. Also, we must OWN our culture with a firm grip while also finding ways to promote it for positive global influence while still trying to find that magic to monetize it so it can grow.
