Five years ago, I was diagnosed with severe PTSD after a work place shooting. PTSD presents its elf as an emotional disorder but is actually a result of damage to the sympathetic nervous system and the left and right frontal cortex of the brain which regulates mood.

I’ve since been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis which is an autoimmune disease that can affect vital organs and the skin, in particular. The primary marker is high C-reactive protein produced by the liver.

I recently discovered there is a high correlation between autoimmune immune disease and trauma. In essence, my central nervous system has been damaged by high stress hormones and related inflammation. People who suffer from childhood trauma are particularly susceptible. I believe there are a large number of people who have inflammation related to stress who are unaware that they have chronic inflammation as well.

The good news is that many of my symptoms have improved after starting an anti-inflammatory diet. My PTSD is still considered severe but the secondary symptoms of autoimmune disease have improved considerably. We take victories where we can find them!

The body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Food is truly medicine!

Weeks after recovering from COVID I started to get internal organs inflammation. It’s been over 2 months and there has been days I felt I wouldn’t survive another day. I’ve done every test possible, CT scans, MRI’s, Ultrasound, X-rays and the result is always inflammation.

The problem is my blood pressure skyrockets when the inflammation is at its peak. While taking steroids my life is back to normal and there is no blood pressure, however, I cannot live on steroids, so following an anti-inflammatory diet is a must for me.

Like the dietitian said, it might take 6 months to a year to fully change the diet. Im 2 months in and still learning which foods triggers inflammation.

Im very grateful for this video and I wish anyone who is having inflammation issues is able to make diet changes and live a better life. 🙏🏻🤗

This was extraordinarily helpful in getting directly to the basics of an anti-inflamatory diet. No hype just facts and sound advice. I've been searching for just this information. Many thanks and well done.

Processed inflammatory foods that she named have one thing in common...vegetable seed oil. Check the labels. They're in 80% of the foods in the grocery store. PUFA, polyunsaturated fatty acids including canola, soybean, corn, safflower, sunflower, cottonseed, and hydrogenated oils are prone to oxidizing and causing inflammation.

Absolutely great questions and answers. I have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis at the age of 56, and I am looking into changing my diet again, so after I visit my Rheumatologist, I will ask for a Registered Dietitian referral .

I've tried to see a dietician but, they will not see me due to the fact I'm not a diabetic. I'm overweight & have a lot of swelling in my legs, feet & sometimes all over. So, this video has been a lot of help due to me trying to eliminate foods that are possibly the cause of the inflamation & of course, to help me lose weight too. Thanks.

This is very useful if you have health problems give this a try. You only lose some months and money if it doesn't work but have a lot to gain specially since we all have to eat every day of our lives.

I know I have an inflammatory response after consuming dairy. But I like dairy. How do I keep drinking dairy but minimize the inflammatory response? I did not have a problem with dairy before 2 years but now I have this.

What about natural sugars from fruits can those cause inflammation? I went on a terrain diet which is mostly fruits and uncooked vegetables but I was cooking my vegetables and I don’t know if I was just detoxing or was it the sugars but they’re all natural sugars.
