His abysmal interpretation of Christianity aside, saying "hearsay" once could've been a mistake, but the fact that he said it multiple times is further confirmation that he knows next to nothing about his own religion.

When I was a pastor, I enjoyed starting the Maundy Thursday service with the words, "tonight, as Jesus commanded, we are going to wash each other's feet, " just to see people's reactions. One lady actually said, "oh no we are not!" No feet were washed at these services.

Apparently, to these types, Jesus was only truly tolerant of who they think he should have been tolerant of. It’s projection all the way down

Benny Johnson is what happens when the ventriloquist dies but the dummy keeps talking.

Reminds me of a quote oft attributed to Gandhi.
"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ."

Not many people have managed to make me hate them as "venemently" and fast as this guy did.

I guess I'm a hear-a-tick, because I have engaged in hearsay.

As a Christian who appreciates this channel….this is a huge reason why. Can we be rational, and can we look for reasons to see each other as equals without looking for ways to validate our egos?
Thank you….for doing this 😂😂😂 and atheist understanding Jesus better than a pastor…not shocking

Anytime someone uses the word degenerate to describe a group of people, it sends up immediate warning signals.

It's the big book of multiple choice.
You can cherry pick it to reflect your own values.
At least the hateful christians are outing themselves now instead of just dog whistling about "traditional family values".

As a Christian, I can safely say that you understand Christianity better than Benny does.

It’s always interesting how god always completely agrees with the individual in question, and hates whom they hate.

That partly explains why there are so many denominations.

I've heard some apologists get quite annoyed when accounts of the resurrection are described as hearsay. Now I understand why.

This is the kind of stuff that is really making me question my Christian faith. The utter lack of empathy and compassion for people that are different from you is just awful imo. To even question something someone says even if it is said by someone you aren’t talking to but that the person holds in high regard like politicians and news casters is taken as a personal attack by an audience member. For example today I was talking with my dad about just this thing because he watches Fox News incessantly and they continually demonize migrants by only ever showing the most heinous things someone who happened to be a migrant did in order to get you amped up and emotional and to associate those feelings with migrants even though 99% percent of them are good people not criminals. I was glad to see Marco Rubio at least made the clarification that the person had done this thing not because they were a migrant but because they were a criminal. Unfortunately my dad took my criticism of this dynamic as a personal attack of his beliefs and as explicit support of the border migration issues which had nothing to do with what I was saying at all. But the whole thing highlights for me how people who are different from you are simply demonized and treated as less than instead of being treated as human beings and treated with love and compassion. I know I’m his heart my dad is a more compassionate person than this which pains me to see that he has fallen so hard for all this political demonizing bullshit.

I recall hearing that Jesus said "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
