You know, I'm reminded of something I heard on a forum I visit. Not much to tell, this guy was recalling how he'd found an SKS rifle online, and the seller mentioned that it's wooden stock had previously been covered in trench art of some kind from back in its service. But the seller dismissed these as ugly scribbles, and had them sanded off the stock to return it to as close to its original appearance as he could. And the guy retelling this story was sad, because those markings were a part of history that the unwitting seller had carelessly destroyed. Not only that, but the art would have made it more valuable too, as it was part of the history of the gun.
I'm reminded of another story I heard. One where a guy's mom had forearms covered in burn scars. She never covered them, because she had gained them snatching her son as an infant from a house fire. She was not ashamed of her scars, but proud of them, because if she didn't have them, then she wouldn't have her son.
Sometimes the scars are more appealing than not. They're history, part of your story, show that you were here and existed. Erase them, and who are you?

Everyone has "damage."
We've all suffered through painful experiences, both physical - like she's mainly talking about - and emotional. Scars of all kinds come from those traumatic times. It's part of life.

They say when you see a faceless woman of your dreams who loves you and you love her back as well, when she asks to “will you stay with me forever” if you answer “yes” you will die a peaceful death in your sleep and stay in that dream forever…
It did happen to me ..before she could ask me, I heard my sister in the background and woke up when she started loudly talking in the other room which woke me up
