700r4 Transmission Overdrive Solenoid Test and Replacement

I'm testing this out on a 1991 Silverado. the procedure is the same for many GMC and Chevy cars and trucks from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. anything with the 700r4 or 200r4 will have the same parts. thanks for watching!

That is not for overdrive is purely for Torque converter lockup engagement.

Mine was toast, tell tale sign pulling away from a stand still and the convertor just makes grunting grouchy noise.. great vid

could this be the problem if my transmission isnt switching gears? I have a 700R4 in a 85 box caprice dont wanna buy or rebuild transmission if i dont have too

What if my overdrive is engaging at the red-light... keeps jerking me. Will that be the pressure switch? 700r4 as well

Would this effect reverse and nutrual. I got not reverse and it drives forward in nutrual
