I dare Code enforcement to question the state of our lawns for the rest of the year. This ain’t no quick fix practically or psychologically

We will live in concrete boxes, 12 inch block, armored glass, massive tie beams, 2 story, nothing on the first floor, essentially an above ground basement, steel not tin roof, drywall that is impervious to water.

There could be alligators hiding in any of that water. Spooky.

And most will be without power for weeks if not longer. I’ve been through this 23 times. It’s nearly unbearable.

Glad he survived that horrible ordeal. However, what kind of cooler was he holding on to? Asking for a friend……

It takes sometimes weeks if not months to fix. Media, stop acting like it should have been fixed in 10 minutes.

You realize this is still the case in North Carolina and Tennessee? We still don’t have how many are dead from hurricane Helene & MSM is complicit in this cover up.

This mess of a story (a stronger word is entirely appropriate) is what you get when producers who know nothing about meteorology assign reporters and editors, who also know nothing about meteorology, to a story like this. Intercutting an interview done in St Petersburg with a woman who apparently can barely talk with footage from a tornado which occurred on the other side of the state? Seriously? Whose bright idea was that? Apparently, “getting the story” is far more important than getting it right.

It's inconceivable that Israel is receiving the dollars which would save so many😢

As the governor said, this was not bad at all. It could have been far, far worse. Then again, much worse hurricanes will be an annual event for FL. People there should really consider moving to safer parts of the nation, like Maine and Minnesota.

Democrats and media were ranting against the Katrina response (with NC 82nd/Guard on scene in 2 days), but call it “misinformation” to point out the nearly 2 weeks of inaction here.
