Liver (anatomy) - love your liver

Показать описание
We've been rummaging around in the abdomen so let's have a look at the anatomy of the liver - lobes, ligaments, cells, histology, blood vessels, a little about the functions of the liver, embryology, a brief nod towards portosystemic anastomoses, and no doubt a bunch of other stuff.

Extra Brownie points if you get all the way to the end of this video.

Honestly, you are amongst the best teachers I have ever seen in my 40 years. I love to learn from you here, it's a wonderful thing, not slavish in the least, or a chore-just thoroughly interesting. You can have all the interesting information in the world, but without a good teacher, you have nothing at all-it's in the communication, which you have mastered. Impressive beyond expectations, thank you for your knowledge and the sound(Exceedingly so) impartation of it. Just amazing :)

Dear Mr Webster, I wanted to say a massive thank you! I'm using your videos to revise anatomy for a specialty exam and think they are the most fun, memorable and well-taught anatomy videos on YouTube. Keep up the good work!

I'm not a university student of anatomy, but I love that you can help me be a student of anatomy for my own personal interest. Awesome videos! Thanks for teaching me. I'll have to watch them 70 times over, as my memory is not my strong point, but that's ok. One day it might all eventually sink in.... Stitch - I find it subsides if you take deep controlled breaths. Dunno why, but it works for me.

Very good! I think it is amazing the way you can explain the subjects, especially because you integrate the body systems dynamically, and not separate them in different "boxes". Fantastic!

Thanks so much for your love of what you do as it translates well into learning one can take away. Lucky are your students and your university. My wife is a college prof as well and instantly recognized your gifts( without seeing my computer screen, she was drawn from across the room at the sound of the enthusiasm in your sharing! We Came here looking to better understand the pieces in the puzzle of Metal poisoning as my physician and I work through a healing process. This gave me solid understanding of the "physical map" of the area, provided some sense of processes, and also provided a few terms (stercobilin) I can relate to as I am reporting color among other things in a daily journal. Thank you again for sharing your twin loves of knowledge and its sharing.
